Together We Accomplish More

Tony Horton P90XSo alot of you know that I went to Atlanta this past weekend for a Tony Horton/P90X Beachbody Business Opportunity meeting. It was a last minute decision to go and so I was literally in the ATL for 22 hours total. But it was so worth it (minus my picture of me and Tony as well as some other pictures that are oddly missing from my camera).

Before I go further let me explain that I just could hardly care about “celebrity”, if you will. But listening to Tony Horton on stage was fantastic. For those of you that have any of his workouts or actually those of you that don’t – he is the real deal. He was interesting, funny, down to earth. I am not easily impressed yet I found myself smiling through his entire time on stage – chuckled out loud many times – which people who really know me know that you have to be pretty funny for that.

On top of that my coach Robert, myself, head master coach Chris, another coach Keith and his wife had lunch with Tony. He really walks the walk people. He is not telling you to eat one thing while he is eating another. It is a lifestyle. In fact all the coaches that I spent time with really live that lifestyle – clean eating and hard exercise. In fact one coach, Mark that I had dinner with the previous night was such a clean eater – very few vices. As a rehabilitating (that would be constantly trying to fix) carb/food addict – it was really inspiring for me. I try to eat well but sometimes my addictions win. I just felt like being around these people, Tony, my coach and some of the other coaches – that I was inspired to come back and clean my diet up even more, to work out even harder.

So I guess the moral of the story is (beyond Tony Horton is great) – is to surround yourself with people who inspire you to be your best. People who are fit and active, people who eat healthy, people who are successful. When you do that you will have no alternative to but to follow in their footsteps.

So get with people who inspire you – they will carry you until you can carry yourself. Then pay it forward, be an inspiration to someone else – you may need to carry them for a bit. While I am at it be a giver in life vs a taker. I promise the more you give of yourself the more you will get back – but give from your heart.

Hopefully I have inspired you a bit to start making some positive changes in your life.
